Job Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust and scalable automation frameworks and scripts for API, web, and mobile applications.
• Drive the automation strategy for projects, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and efficient execution.
• Take ownership of the automation regression suite, ensuring its stability and effectiveness for each sprint release.
• Proactively analyze solution documentation and collaborate with development and product teams to identify, analyze, and resolve issues efficiently through automation.
• Champion a "Quality First" mindset within the team, mentoring and training developers on effective testing practices and empowering them to build quality into the product.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Design) to integrate automation seamlessly into the development lifecycle and ensure end-to-end product quality.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to overall QA practices, automation frameworks, and testing processes.
• Troubleshoot complex automation issues and provide effective solutions.
• Contribute to the selection and evaluation of new automation tools and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of demonstrable professional experience in software testing and developing automated tests for production-level web applications, mobile applications (iOS and Android), and APIs.
• Strong programming skills in at least one object-oriented language such as Python or Java, with a focus on test automation.
• Proven experience with at least one robust version control system (e.g., Git).
• In-depth experience with leading test automation tools and frameworks, including Appium (for mobile) and Selenium (for web).
• Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile testing methodologies.
• A strong passion for quality, with a "test-first" and "automation-first" approach.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• A proactive, optimistic, and solution-oriented attitude with strong ownership.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Proven experience with Python for automation, API automation frameworks (e.g., RestAssured for Java, Requests for Python), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies (e.g., Cucumber, Behave).
• Experience working with cloud-based technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Demonstrated ability to independently research and implement new automation tools and techniques.
• Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the testing community.
• Experience with performance testing or security testing automation.
